Favorite Place

I don't think I have one place in particular as a designated favorite place. A lot of it is dependent on my mood and where I want to be in that moment. I do, however, have a place that I think of every time I am in a tranquil state of mind or am trying to get to that. I always have this image pop up in my head of the beach at night. I have gone to the beach at night one time while travelling with my track team. Something about how you can hear the waves rush in as everything else was so quiet and calm, the emptiness of the beach, and the moon and the stars shining overhead.

I also have been on two cruises, and I think one of the highlights for me both times was just sitting on the balcony wrapped up in a blanket after dark and just enjoying the ocean.

Just thinking about it makes me want to go back. I wish I lived by a beach so I could do this more frequently. Even from my memory, the image never fails to take me back to that moment where I just felt at peace with everything. Hopefully soon I will be able to take a trip and enjoy this moment again.
