Time Machine

This is kinda sad lol, but, if I was able to use a time machine to go back in time I would go back to say bye to my dog, Bowie, before he was put down. He was my first dog, and my parents got him for me when I was like 5 years old, for free in a Walmart parking lot. Fast forward 12-13 years, we had been through a lot together. He was so loyal and would lay by my bed or outside my door and guard me every night. I remember he was an outside dog for a few years when we lived in New Mexico, and when I was younger I'd always fake being sick. My parents asked what would help and I always said "I want to go play with Bowie." So, they'd bring him out onto the grass and POOF! All of a sudden my "stomachache" was gone, thanks to him.

He started having health issues when he was like ten or eleven. He started having hip problems and it was really hard for him to stand up sometimes. It was really hard to watch. My parents tried to talk to me about in the future we will have to put him down but I just would ignore it basically, I didn't want to think about it. His health started declining, and at this time I was moving about an hour and a half away from home for school. There was one day, I guess, where he couldn't stand up anymore. My parents took him to the vet to sleep peacefully forever. They called me that night, and told me they had to put him down. I just wish I would've been at home to say goodbye to him, and have the chance to give him a big hug and tell him I love him and thank him for all that he had done for me all these years. So yeah, that's where I would go back in time to.
